On the afternoon of March 19th, accompanied by members of the City Board of Education, the district administrator and the marketing coordinators from Northland Pines School District, Wisconsin, USA paid a visit to our school. Principal Zhang Tianruo, vice principal He Jigang and Li Lan participated in the reception.
在参观了校园后，宾主双方在学校汉推中心二层会议室进行了友好交流。交流会上，张校长首先向来宾表示热烈欢迎，并扼要介绍了学校的发展历史、课程设置、对外交流等方面情况。美方客人麦克﹒里奇（Mike Richie），斯康辛州北地松学区教育局局长、学区教育顾问杰克﹒帕默（Jack Palmer）也向我校教师介绍了当地学校的办学规模、办学理念、国际交流以及具体的活动内容。他们认为，新时代培养学生的创造性、发现和探索、批评性思维至关重要，为此，他们做了相关的实践。我校教师也就学校办学理念、教育发展方向、特色办学、国际交流和合作项目等议题与客人们进行了细致的探讨与交流。
After a visit to the campus, the two sides compared notes on certain topics in the conference room of the School Mandarin Promotion Center. Principal Zhang expressed his warm welcome to the American guests, and then briefly introduced the school development history, curriculum, foreign exchange etc. Mike Richie, district administrator, and Jack Palmer, marketing coordinator, introduced to the people present the running size of their local schools, the idea of running a school, the international exchange and the specific activities. In their view, the cultivation of students' creativity, discovery and exploration, as well as critical thinking is essential in the new era. Therefore, they have been doing related practices. Afterwards, the teachers of our school made a profound discussion and communication with the guests on the education concept, the direction of education development, characteristics in education, international exchange and cooperation projects and other issues.
In recent years, our school has actively participated in the international cooperation and exchanges and is already in the forefront in the aspects of the promotion of Mandarin and international exchanges and cooperation in the province, enjoying a wide reputation both at home and abroad. Ever since 2009, the school has established friendly relationship and cooperation with Bend-La Pine School District, Oregon, Board of Education of Kent, Washington, Victoria University Secondary College of Australia. Cooperation like teacher and student exchange program has been marching on with some selective courses set up for each other. We are quite confident that the visit of education delegates from Northland Pines School District will be beneficial to expand the space and ways of cooperation and make new broader attempts in the exchange program and modes of international talent cultivation.
